Neugart supports Engineers Without Borders

Neugart has donated €1500 to the charitable organization “Ingenieure ohne Grenzen”, the German chapter of Engineers Without Borders. The donation will go to the Basic Supplies for Schools program, which assists in establishing and expanding infrastructure that supports students attending school.

Education is a top priority for the United Nations and its children’s fund UNICEF, including increasing school enrollment rates and providing a healthy learning environment. Because of its “Basic Supplies for Schools” program, Engineers without Borders is helping to make important strides toward achieving such goals. “We felt it was a fitting cause for us to support,” states Bernd Neugart, Managing Partner.

The money will go to schools that need it most urgently. The financial assistance will be used according to the needs of particular regions. The type of support schools will receive ranges from providing energy supply, digging wells for clean drinking water, and building dry toilets, as well as targeting issues regarding nutrition.

The donation was the result of a customer satisfaction survey. “We asked each customer participant whether they would prefer to receive a small gift [for participating in the survey] or that we make a €5 donation on their behalf,” Bernd Neugart explains. “We’re very grateful that we were able to collect such a generous amount of money using this method.”
