Mr. PLE leaves the ship: Thomas Herr retires

Long planned and yet a deep cut: At the end of the year, Managing Director Thomas Herr, the inventor of the "PLE planetary gearbox", is retiring after 33 years at the helm of Neugart. At the same time, the next generation, Matthias Herr, who has been a partner in the company since 2013, is ready to take over.

In an interview, father and son reveal what this change means for Neugart, but also for them personally.
They agree on two points in particular: the senior can hand over a completely healthy company to the next generation.
