NCP 4.0: Neugart presents latest version of its design software

From the load via the gearbox to the motor – the NCP 4.0 (Neugart Calculation Program) software calculates and displays the design of an entire drivetrain. In comparison to NCP 3.3, version 4.0 impresses by being even more user-friendly and intuitive. The software is characterized by its well-organised user interface. This is made possible using multi-window technology, which optimizes use of the display screen. To that end, the program has also been designed with a flexible user interface. It automatically adapts its display for laptops and desktops, as well as records application data and the graphically prepared calculation results.

One major advantage of NCP 4.0 is the possibility of recording several drivetrains in one project. This reduces the amount of documentation, streamlines archiving, protects resources and significantly improves clarity. NCP 4.0 is also designed to allow the graphic dynamic and load profile per drivetrain to remain permanently visible.

New users will be delighted with features such as the illustrated tooltips. These provide inexperienced users with valuable text information if anything is unclear, and support intuitive workflow. Other aids also provide a high level of operating convenience. For example, the force calculator tool that is integrated into the solution measures non-perpendicular force at the drive shaft in a simple way, and the quick display provides all relevant values at a glance. In the event of inconsistent input, the ‘smart’ software provides user support with useful tips. Additionally, the improved import/export interface for the dynamic and load profile provides a smooth exchange of data, and the revised product filter makes product selection easier than ever.

In order to avoid placing any restrictions on the design of gearboxes and drivetrains, the motor database has been increased by 1,700 to 14,000 motors from more than 80 manufacturers. The WPSFN and PSBN 142 gearbox series have now been added in version 4.0.

Version 4.0 is still compatible with previous versions. Projects which were created with NCP 3 can be opened and edited using NCP 4.0 without any problems.
