Neugart takes social responsibility stance

Along with about 1000 other companies Neugart has joined a campaign to promote democratic and socio-economic values in response to the growth of populism. Bernd Neugart, Managing Partner of Neugart GmbH, stands for the “Einigkeit. Recht. Freiheit.“ campaign which translates to “Unity. Justice. Freedom.”

“We want to take a stance as employers,” said Bernd Neugart. Neugart appears in a commercial that will be shown in regional media. His statement: Germany is a tolerant country for all who respect the rule of law — for both Germans and foreigners. This is a commitment to democracy, the rule of law and the German social market economy.

The campaign was started by WVIB (Wirtschaftsverband Industrieller Unternehmen Baden e.V.), the Baden-Württemberg Business Federation where Bernd Neugart is a member of the five-member Executive Board and Neugart GmbH has long been a member. The WVIB had withheld political statements up until now. We would like to set an example with this campaign, according to WVIB Chief Executive Christoph Münzer. “It’s just time,” he said.

Münzer emphasized that the campaign is a non-partisan political statement. A recommendation for the “Bundestag” federal election in Germany taking place on September 24 is not included in the current campaign nor is it intended for the future.
