Quality and environment
A: Yes. Conservation and responsible power consumption are ingrained in our company philosophy. In accordance with our ideals, Neugart environmental management has been certified in compliance with ISO 14001:2015. A PDF of our environmental certificate can be found here.
A: Gearboxes are not a machine or partial machine in the sense of the EU Directive 2006/42/EC. Gearboxes are components that are intended to be installed in machines and equipment. For this reason, a CE label for gearboxes is inappropriate.
A: AEO stands for Authorized Economic Operator. EU companies involved in customs have been able to apply for this status since 2008. The objective is to safeguard a consistent internal supply chain from the parts supplier to the manufacturer to the end consumer.
Neugart GmbH has held this status for several years and is therefore AEO certified. A PDF of our AEO certificate (AEO-F = AEO-C + AEO-S) can be found here.
A: Yes. As an owner-operated company, we feel obliged to act according to social principles before our personnel, partners, and customers. To this end, we are committed to the international standard SA8000, the primary objective of which is the improvement of working conditions. We respect and adhere to all rules governing working conditions and safety. The current issue of the SA8000 code of conduct can be found here.
A: As an owner-operated company, Neugart is committed to environmental and social responsibility. The use of conflict resources is therefore irreconcilable with our ethical principles. That is why we have asked all our suppliers to confirm their compliance with the Conflict Minerals Regulation (EU) 2017/821. In other words, they must confirm their refusal to deal in resources originating from conflict regions.
Conflict resources are natural resources and other goods that are cultivated, extracted, or produced in conflict regions. This is generally illegal and outside of state control, typically under inhuman conditions and in violation of international law.
We do not deal directly with the manufacturers of our input material, so we must rely heavily on the cooperation of our suppliers.
A: The EU Directive 2011/65/EU including its extension 2015/863/EU is intended to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. It regulates the use and placement on the market of hazardous substances in electrical equipment and electronic components. The abbreviation "RoHS" stands for "Restriction of (the use of certain) Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic Equipment". For our standard gearboxes, we select all materials ourselves and can therefore confirm compliance with RoHS. In the case of gearboxes to customer specifications and gearing components, we generally rely on the cooperation of our customers and ask them to ensure compliance with RoHS in-house.
A: REACH is the European regulation (EC) No.1907/2006 governing the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. It came into force in 2007 and is designed to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment. As described by the REACH regulation, Neugart is a downstream user. This means that Neugart does not manufacture, modify or sell raw materials and/or chemicals. In terms of REACH, Neugart’s products are classified as articles, which do not release substances as laid down in REACH. Neugart is not therefore obliged to register its products (Article 7, Paragraph 1, Item b).
A: Special attention is paid to the recyclability of the packaging materials, most of which consist of cardboard and film, so that they be returned to the material cycle.
An overview of the packaging materials used by Neugart, including the packaging codes (recycling codes) can be found here.

A: Yes. You can request a certificate in compliance with the order complying with EN 10204-2.1 or a company certification complying with EN 10204-2.2. Both of these services are provided for a charge. Feasibility and costs are determined by our Quality Assurance Department.
A certificate in compliance with the order confirms that the material requirements, surface quality, dimensional consistency, tolerances, and the required functionality are provided in compliance with the order. The certificate, in compliance with the order, can also be provided with a protocol if requested.
If you require a certificate in compliance with the order, please consult our Sales Department. A list of contacts divided into regions can be found here.
A: Our HLAE gearbox is the world’s first hygienic design planetary gearbox that has been certified according to 3-A RPSCQC and therefore ensures its optimal cleanability.
RPSCQC stands for Replacement Parts and System Component Qualification Certificate. This certification involves a strict auditing of the overall concept. This includes a product design audit, a quality assurance audit, and a manufacturing and assembly audit that are all conducted by an external 3-A expert. The certificate applies to the device and its applications (3-A Standards).
The Neugart HLAE gearbox series fulfills, for instance, the following 3-A Standards:
17-11, Formers, Fillers, and Sealers of Containers for Fluid Products - 11/2012
23-06, Equipment for Packaging Viscous Products - 11/2012
41-03, Mechanical Conveyors for Dry Products - 01/2008
73-01, Shear Mixers, Mixers, and Agitators - 10/2005
75-01, Belt-Type Feeders - 06/2012
This gearbox has been designed specifically for applications in the food and pharmaceuticals industries.
Neugart has been a member of the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) since 2014. This group promotes the reliability of hygienic processes.
A PDF of our 3-A Sanitary Standards certificate can be found here.
A: The China Compulsory Certification (CCC) is an audit certificate applying to products for the Chinese market. It also applies to products produced outside China. However, our gearboxes do not fall within the CCC jurisdiction. Accordingly, no CCC certificate can be applied for.
A: As an owner-operated company, Neugart abides by applicable codes of conduct, laws, and directives as a matter of course. Our compliance team remains informed at all times of the legal amendments affecting our company. Any necessary modification we introduce without delay. We examine and inspect internal processes and workflows on a continuous basis and, whenever necessary, adapt them to the applicable provisions.
