High-Density Joint Actuator Nominated for the AutomationsBest Award 2026
The High-Density Joint Actuator, jointly developed by Neugart and Synapticon, has been nominated for the automationsBest Award 2026 presented by Wiley.
The award recognizes innovative technologies with significant relevance for industrial automation. With this nomination, the joint actuator is among the most promising developments in the field of humanoid robotics.
Specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of humanoid robots, the actuator integrates a precision gearbox, motor, power electronics, encoder, and safety functions into a single compact unit. With a torque density of up to 200 Nm/kg, the solution sets new standards for the integration of high-performance joint drives.
The modular platform is designed for a wide range of joint sizes and is already being used in pilot projects for knee, shoulder, and wrist joints. This creates the foundation for the next generation of industrially deployable humanoid robots.
Neugart is proud of the nomination and invites everyone to support the High-Density Joint Actuator by casting their vote in the automationsBest Award 2026.
